The streamers have been used and the confetti has been tossed and now we can address a few things so that you can have your most profitable and best year in business yet.
There’s nothing like doing the same ol’ thing day in and day out every year with no direction and clarity.
Each year it’s easy to set goals. We set goals for everything.
At least I do. I set goals for my:
- Weight loss
- How many books I’ll read for the year
- How many events and conferences I want to attend
Setting goals are great but in order to have the success that you want you to have to dive a little deeper and go beyond goal setting.
So here are a few quick tips to review your past year so that you can have your best year yet in business.
Leave old crap Behind
I don’t know about you, but I’m not interested in bringing things (and people for that matter) that brought me down, were negative and caused me to stress out into the New Year.
If I did, then I’d be insane.
I’m sure you don’t want to do that either.
So, as we walk into 2018, ask yourself what were the things that brought you down and caused the most confusion in your life.
Were they bad habits (drop those like yesterday)?
Think about what you’d do differently and sprint forward with those ideas.
Start New Habits
Habits can make or break your business. In addition to creating good habits you also need the discipline to stay on course and have a great year.
Here are some habits that you can easily create in your business:
- Wake up early
- Read a new book once a month
- Exercise daily
- Write a blog once a week
- Host a Facebook Live on your business page once a week
- Have coffee chats with new colleagues once a week
- Attend In-Person Networking Events once a month
It may be a rough start creating these new habits but with consistency, you’ll see a dramatic change in your life and get the results that you want for business.
Get Clear about Your Intentions
What I’ve found with working with my clients is that whenever something new comes around they have a plan or idea but they aren’t clear on what they want out of it.
So, they go through the motions and that yields lack-luster sales or no sales at all.
In order to have a successful and profitable year, you’ve got to get clear on what you want out of the year.
